Therapy-At-Home Workbooks® for Couples
Therapy-At-Home Workbooks®: A cost effective, do-it-yourself, therapist-guided alternative to marriage and premarital counseling.
There are the two workbooks currently available:
The Marriage Refresher Course for Couples
Suitable for couples who feel their marriages are less connected than they once were and want to do something about it! It fuses together concepts of my premarital work and provides tips to work through three of the primary marriages issues I’ve seen in my couples counseling practice. Learn more…
The Premarital Counseling Workbook for Couples
For couples to use together prior to getting married. It is based on the concepts I outline in my own face-to-face premarital counseling program based on ideas around how to strengthen your relationship foundation. Learn more…
Therapy-At-Home Workbooks® is the first counseling alternative workbook series for individuals and couples of it’s kind and I developed the “therapy at home” concept with a number of things in mind:
1) Traditional Therapy and Counseling is not affordable to everyone. The cost of my workbooks are significantly less than the fee for most traditional counseling sessions.
2) Many people aren’t comfortable going to therapy or counseling – for whatever reason. Whether it’s negative beliefs about the therapy process, fear or inconvenience, my workbook can be done from the comfort of home. I provide therapist guidance but you do the work in your own time frame.
3) People like instant gratification. There has been a dramatic rise in the popularity of ebooks due to the ability to instantly download them rather than going to a book store or waiting for a shipment. My workbooks contain worksheets to be pulled out and put back in when filled out - making the “ebook” format ideal for for these workbooks.
4) Many are “DIY” types. These days, many people have a “do it yourself” attitude about many things and the workbooks provide a “DIY” alternative to getting help from a licensed therapist via an alternate route..
***My workbooks aren’t suitable for everyone! If you are a high-conflict couple or a couple who has toxic levels of anger and resentment built up – you may be better suited for face-to-face therapy with a therapist in your area. You may still benefit from some of the ideas and tools provided – but nothing replaces a person sitting in front of you to manage difficult situations if the arise.*** See The Toolbox Therapist and Counselor Directory to find a local therapist.
See Reviews and Feedback to read what other therapy professionals and workbook users have said.

***For therapists or counselors: I have a smaller version of the premarital workbook mentioned above for therapists and counselors. Therapist Tools: Premarital Counseling Worksheets is for use by therapists and counselors in their premarital counseling practices. It contains the assessments, worksheets and exercises from the premarital workbook above – which may be copied for use with premarital counseling clients in session.
