Tips for the Problem of Marriage Disconnect
Marriages are work – and there’s nothing wrong with that! It simply means that many
couples need to put a little extra energy and consideration into nurturing their marriages and connection. It’s easy to get disconnected but thankfully if both people are interested in finding the bond again – it’s absolutely possible. Let’s talk about a few tips to at least begin to help solve this common marriage problem.
- Reflect on what brought you together in the first place.
- Keep the lines of communication open and work through resentments before they become toxic.
- Increase the level of emotional safety together – this means feeling heard, understood, validated and empathized with.
- Revisit your marriage roles and expectations. Do you both feel they still work?
