Book Review: How to Marry the Wrong Guy by Anne Milford and Jennifer Gauvain, MSW, LCSW
This book is definitely for women. Although the concepts can be applied to both sexes, How to Marry the Wrong
Guy: A Guide for Avoiding the Biggest Mistake of Your Life is talking to all the ladies out there who are at risk for walking down the aisle with a guy who will very likely make them miserable. This book is the “red flag” that you will hopefully heed.
Don’t mistake the hot pink book jacket for a light and airy read with no substance. On the contrary, it addresses a serious subject in a clear, concise and fun way. After seeing as many couples as I have that possibly should never have married – I know there is a need for this book.
The writer-therapist combo team of Anne Milford and Jennifer Gauvain, MSW, LCSW, do an exceptional job of providing a road map for woman to avoid marrying a guy who will likely bring them misery.
How to Marry the Wrong Guy explores real issues such as dating guys for the wrong reasons, ignoring gut feelings and red flags, how to differentiate between “jitters” and “cold feet.” It also addresses women’s fears of calling off their weddings – and helps them find the courage to do so.
