I dated this girl for almost two years. Trusted her, respected her, and gave her her space.  Recently traveled with friends which again I trusted her and when she came back she was extrememly different said that she just wanted to be single and that it wasn’t me but it was her and i should let her be and if it was meant to be it would be, then I hear shes telling friends i’m letting her slip away, it just doesn’t make sense how fast it all changed?

LISA’S RELATIONSHIP ADVICE:

That does sound confusing!  It definitely sounds like something changed when you were on your trip – hard to know what.  It’s hard to figure out why someone would tell two different stories like that – one to you and one to her friends? 

I suggest you talk with her to try to get to the bottom of it.  Tell her you would like some clarity on the situation and want to more fully understand what happened on her end.  If you can’t think of any reason why your behavior didn’t push her away, then there’s something going on with her.  Another guy?   Ask her why her friends would day such things as well.

If you don’t get straight answers out of her then put your efforts into someone who feels the same way as you do and is ready for commitment as it sounds like you are.
